Third International Conference on Rail Human Factors

Following the success of the First and Second European Rail Human Factors conferences in 2003 and 2005, the Third International Conference on Rail Human Factors will be held on 3rd to 5th March 2009 in Lille, France. The conference aims to bring together the growing group of ergonomists, psychologists, sociologists, management scientists and engineers whose common theme is to investigate, understand and design for people on the railways - staff, passengers and the general public.
The conference is organised by the European Railway Agency, Network Rail (through their Ergonomics National Specialist Team), the Rail Safety and Standards Board (through their Human Factors Group) and Centre for Rail Human Factors at the University of Nottingham. It is run in association with the Ergonomics Society and the Société ďErgonomie de Langue Française (SELF) . Wider links will be achieved through the conference being associated with the human factors programme of Rail Research UK.
